FAQ
Although we try our best to ensure that the product you will receive looks exactly like the pictures on our website, please remember that leather is a natural product and as such, bears all hallmarks of its origin. Truly unique and individual markings may appear on any of our genuine leather products. These markings should not be considered as defects. Instead, they give our leather products a unique identity, which enhances its natural beauty and characteristics. A natural look that is unique to a natural product, a one of a kind. Even the best leather products have natural markings, which are analogous to fingerprints. They distinguish genuine leather from man-made materials. Some markings which may appear on the surface of leather are healed scratches, barbed wire marks, skin warts, wrinkles, and various insect bites. Each mark is unique to the cattle’s lifetime in the field. Any of these markings may be present on our leather products and is your assurance that you have a true top grain hide leather product.

To clean and care for your leather goods: Remove dirt build-up by wiping down with a damp cloth and dry carefully. Every other day, give your bag a brisk sweep with a soft damp cloth—this won’t take more than a few minutes, but will go miles towards preserving the appearance of your leather. Think of conditioning as moisturizer for your leather, which will dry out over time. To prevent flaking and wrinkling, dab a bit of conditioner on a soft cloth and rub gently all over.
For most of our Lullu Handbags, we use Diesel Range - a Full Grain Leather. Diesel is an aniline effect leather, buffed and then coated in oil – then burned through an ironing press to achieve the effect. Once in use, the oil disperses into the hide, softening the leather from the inside out. This creates a two-tone (colour) distress appearance with a soft velvet touch. A leather with a natural appearance which lightens in colour when stretched during wear to produce a unique worn-in effect with time. Aniline leather is the most natural-looking leather with the unique surface characteristics of the hide remaining visible. Aniline leather is coloured only with dye and not with a surface coating of polymer and pigment. A light surface coating may be applied to enhance its appearance and offer slight protection against spillages and soiling.
